Europe + Red Sea - looking for cheap holidays

Hello,
As I have returned from my diving trip to Sharm, I am slowly planning the next one.

However, this time I am quite low on budget and therefore I am looking for something:
1.Relatively close to UK but wetsuit-acceptable (no drysuit required) around December-January (e.g. Red Sea)
2.Good price for accommodation + diving + equipment rental.

I was wondering what to choose: live-aboard (as it includes both diving and accommodation) or "Red Sea Relax" - a Dahab-based diving centre which offers accommodation for divers for free.

If you have any suggestions - I would be grateful. I don't need any luxury - the only condition being that the hired equipment is of good quality (i.e. properly serviced, reliable and not the cheapest 10y old etc.)

I would add Canaries to your list. Close and in a budget. But I don't think that there is a LOB available except the whale and dolphin watch(not swim!) boats.

Egypt: I would consider that on a LOB at that time, it can be quite cold due to the wind, and the water is not really warm.
