Does anyone know which of these two wet suits would be warmer? I'm getting conflicting information from local dive shops. Some people tell me the Sport would be warmer because it's a full 7mm, whereas the Everflex is 7mm only in the core. Other people tell me the Everflex would be warmer because it's made of higher grade neoprene and has glideskin seals on the wrists & ankles.

1) Note the last time any ScubaPro official posted in this forum.

2) Ohio? Buy a real drysuit. Much to pick from, much good advice to be had.

1) I didn't realize this forum was only for ScubaPro officials. I was asking anybody.

2) I didn't realize that I am required to dive dry. I've been perfectly happy diving wet in Ohio & Pennsylvania since 2013. Is that OK with you? Also, why are you telling me to buy a "real" dry suit? Did I ask about a phony dry suit? I don't think I did. In fact, I didn't ask about any kind of dry suit.

I purchased the 7mm Everflex this past winter. I have only used it for a hand full of dives but I've been very happy with it. The coldest dive I have done with it was off the the coast of NC on January 27th and the bottom temp was 49F. I was a little chilly but okay. Out of 13 divers, only myself and three others went back in for the second dive. The other three all had dry suits.

I've own both, Everflex seals better at the ankles, wrist and zipper. Throw in a hooded vest and it's just as good as a semidry. The Sport is much easier to don and doff but does not seal well. The Everflex is much warmer as it doesn't flush water and is my go to wetsuit for the midwest.
