I have a student that has limited vision. He can read large letters. Can anyone recommend a SPG that is EZ to read.

Seems to me older SPGs are larger than newer ones--maybe you could find an old one on ebay?

You may be able to find an old SPG which has a plastic bezel (clear plastic face) that unscrews from the guage which will expose the internals of the guage. Both the needle and also the circular plastic card (with the "tic marks" for the psi gradations) will be exposed.

You could easly fabrica a new, simpler rear card with maybe 1,2,and 3 marked on it in very large letters with a Sharpie or P-touch, plastic labeler. It should slip over the original guage face.

Hopefully the needle itself does not need to be widened. then screw it back together...

Old fat Dacor SPG guages were constructed like that, and probably others. You need tocarefully clean and seat the face O-ring and not over tighten so as to crack the plastic threading of the guage case. No big deal really..
