Facebook style chat on SB

Would it be possible to implement a chat system to likes of what facebook has? I think it would be a great addition to the site and be a bit quicker and less cluttered than personal messaging. I'm not saying we get rid of pm but a chat system would be a great edition.

what does everyone think?

Interesting idea... BUT - We're awaiting the new version of vBulletin (the software that SB runs on). I've been working on the beta version of the new SB, and at this time, there will be no new development on the existing platform. So if this is even possible; it just can't be considered until we make the switch. Try asking again in a few months.
