Just curious who will be around Joe's this coming weekend. I'm planning on being there Saturday at some point. Old hats - where do you guys normally gather? I'd like to put some names with faces.

I haven't heard anything about the water temps, so I'm going to swing by and see if I can catch Joe this afternoon. That might decide the time for Saturday! I'll probably be in a black, quad cab Dodge PU with a diver down plate on the front. Flag me down if I pass you!

Water temp? I would say cold, maybe 68 surface, 1st thermocline around 14'
going into the 60's, 2nd at 24' going into the 50's. But it is only a guess from
past experience at Falling Rock. We will see how close my guesstimate is Sat.

I had 70-72 surface in my log about this time last year. But I seem to remember it warmed a little quicker last spring - so I'd say you are close. Thermocline was about 20' then and the temp change was considerable. I didn't have or pay attention to a thermometer while submerged due to being the proverbial newbie doing check outs! What time do you guys usually hit it?

Let's say around 10-11am. Did you happen to drop by and talk to Joe?
I understand Paradise is getting some check out dives together, is that
the dive shop you were talking about? I hope they don't kill the vis!

I didn't get a chance to stop by. PM didn't work quite like I hoped. Paradise is the shop I was referring to - as of a couple of days ago they hadn't had much interest or feedback for the check outs. 10 works for me - I'll be chomping at the bit to try my gear out!

Hey guys,

My internet has been down so I haven't been able to post or read except at work. I've been battling with the flu so I might not be able to dive. I'll stop by anyways though just to say hi. I'm really hoping my head clears up enough to get in the water.

K2, 10 it is!
I'll be driving a white Pontiac Van.
Hope you can get your head clear John.

The water is getting warmer and it is time to enjoy our local dive sites. I know some members have kept diving all year round though. Time comes for the warm water.
