From WSVN-TV - Diver dies while on excursion on choppy seas
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Broward Sheriff's Office deputies and a medical examiner are on the scene investigating the death of a diver who lost his life while out on a group diving excursion.
The "Aqua View" vessel arrived at the docks at "Fish City," just before 12 in the afternoon, Tuesday. A yellow tarp covered the body of a 63-year-old man.
The man had been reported missing during the excursion and had to be brought on board the boat to be given CPR by a pair of doctors who happened to be on board. They pronounced him dead on the scene.
It remains unknown if the choppy seas or a medical condition contributed to his drowning. BSO remains on scene conducting interviews, as they continue to investigate.
