The body of a foreign national was retrieved from the wreck of the German WW2 destroyer Hermann Künne yesterday. This is as far as I'm aware the ninth diving-related fatality involving sports divers in Norway in 12 months.

05/03/2011 1 fatality (foreign national), wreck dive @ Hermann Künne, Narvik
11/27/2010 1 fatality, stuck while cleaning pipe inlet, south of Oslo
09/26/2010 2 fatalities (Danish nationals), wreck dive @ Seattle, Kristiansand
08/15/2010 1 fatality, free-dive, Telemark
06/23/2010 1 fatality, free-dive, south of Oslo
05/08/2010 1 fatality, shallow depth rebreather failure, Bergen
05/03/2010 2 fatalities (Polish nationals), sports dive, near Stavanger

It's been a bad year. Please take care, everyone.
