Female Clip Buckle on Mares Icon BCD

As you can see in the lower left of the following picture, both the Aliikai and the Icon BCD's feature a female clip buckle positioned right next to the rollout pocket. What is it for?

At first I thought it was for adding a crotch strap, like the pegasus, but there's only one buckle on the left side. Then I thought it may be for adding accesoires to it, but I tried to connect my slate to it, but that also features a female clip, so it won't connect.

Any idea's anyone? Zak.

PS, the website, cataloque and manual don't mention the buckle.

Hi Peter, This is simply a female receptacle for a fastek type buckle. We put this here rather than the standard D-Ring. You can use it however suits you best.
