Hello fellow divers,

I am going to Fiji and Samoa in May and planning to do the dive shark in Beqa Lagoon.

Both BAD and Aqua Trek offer as well soft coral dives.

I'm wondering whether those dives (soft coral) are worth it in this area?

It is fairly expensive, so wondering whether I should do or not.

If not, what would you suggest for afternoon activity around Pacific Harbour?

Thanks,

Mike

Bula, The Shark feeding dives are a little pricey, but generally the soft coral dives are more reasonable. Are they worth it? I think so for a couple of days at least. There are some lovely dives especially to the West of Beqa lagoon around Yanuca island and Frigates reef. There can be moderate currents at some sites, reef sharks are common.
If you choose not to dive then lots of options from jet ski trips, to river rafting, kayaking, village visits and hikes. There is also a golf course (golf is the one with the small white ball and long bats)
Have a great trip.
Greg
