Last couple of dives have sucked but yesterday was great! 58F water, 80F air, 1 ft surf, light surge, 15-20ft vis and tons of fish! And to top it all off, a beautiful sunset!

I wish it would stay like that through the weekend........

Well, that ship has sailed already apparently. Dove today, viz was back down to 2-8 ft (mostly on the 2ish side). Still had a great time but not one of our better days ......and looking at the forecast, kids...its only going to get worse with the storms coming in.

Greetings Doug,
I didn't catch where you were diving?

Oh, yeah...that might've been helpful. I was in Laguna...one dive out near Seal Rock, and one at Heisler park (picture is from Cress St.). But like others have said, the great diving days appear to be over, probably for at least a week.

Thanks Doug,
Looks like we both live in the (IE). I remember when RC was just "Cucamonga".
Miles and miles of vineyards, sand and football sized rocks.

I would avoid the local near shore waters all together for a while. From the record amount of rainfall we've had over the past few days (with more to come), all the major storm drains are dumping massive amounts of nasty stuff into the ocean. I was in Dana Point yesterday and could see that the San Juan Creek outlet has busted open and what looks like a brown river of hepatitis laden poo water spilling out into Doheney. GROSS !

Despite the rain and runoff, there were reports of visibility up to 45 ft at Casino Point Dive Park Saturday. However, I "dove dry..." sitting in my bathrobe in front of the computer.

Thanks Doug,

Yeah...I moved here when I was 8 and it's crazy how much this city has changed. No more Cowgirl Topless Bar, no more prostitutes walking along foothill in Fontana...I remember when it was a huge deal that we were gonna get a Target! And I also remember when no one here drove a BMW or a Mercedes. Now we've got multi-million dollar homes, luxury cars everywhere, Ontario Mills, Victoria Gardens, apartments and businesses all over the place...it's crazy. I would see my dad on the weekends as a kid and we could drive from Haven to Sierra in about 8 minutes. Now that same drive takes about 20-25. Crazy.
