First time gear buyer

I have to agree with everyone who said to try on as many different brands, styles, and types of BCs as possible BEFORE you buy anything.

It concerns me when someone says "...it was pretty comfortable..." I've used BCs that were "pretty comfortable" but frankly, when I found the RIGHT BC, it was FAR more than "pretty" comfortable.

My wife liked the seaquest lx the best, alot of our instructors wives and daughters wear the same bc.

Thanks for all your replies!!! I'll keep in mind everything! I think for now I'm going to use my money to do somemore dives and try to test out different brands instead of getting equipment now. Mostly this is in response to your posts about testing equipment and finding whats right, and that there are so many different opinions about whats the best. I guess it really depends on what is the best "for you" versus for the masses. Thanks again!
