I'm using it with my G10/FIX setup.

Downside is that (assuming it's the same with the G11) it's not as big as the lens port, and so you have to zoom in a bit to get rid of the "porthole" look. Also, it takes a bit of technique (and patience) to get the focus right ... it's like trying to look at a star through a hand-held telescope. And taking pictures of a moving subject is a challenge.

On the other hand, when it's right ... it's really right. It's allowed me to get some pics I otherwise would not have been able to take.

Thanks, Bob, I appreciate the feedback. You have some great pics on your site, can you point out which (or a few if that is more appropriate) that used the flip down macro lens?
