Hi,

When diving warm clear water without wrecks I get bored easily, to prevent dozing off I take pictures.

So I’m a diver who takes pictures and not a photographer.

For about 2 years I use a Tg5 without flashes or lights. I press some buttons and sometimes I have really nice photos sometimes they are awefull. From the moment it gets a lil deeper they are mostly bad because of them being to dark and colourless.

Can I improve that by adding lights or is it a user problem?
When adding lights what’s a good option without spending to much for casual use?
1good flash? 2 ok ones? Flash and light combined?

Flash will give you a lot more intense light than a video light. However in either case you need to be close, like withing 5 ft of your subject, closer is better. At 5 feet the difference is marginal. With a good flash in the arms length distance you can get much improved results.

Ty for the info
