I'm a Fish!
Around 1608 the irritating little box goes off and reads; “Drowning by floating green”. Short and simple, we all know what we need to do.

At 1609 it goes off again just as I’m getting into the rig. This time it reads; “Cancel, Subj out of the water”. Great as I had just gotten off work 10 minutes earlier.

All I know so far is that it was a SCUBA fatality. Seems that he had about a 50# bag of golf balls and no air in his tank. I’ll post more as the news articles get posted.

And some people wonder why I get so tough on the golf ball divers and the wanna be’s. Not so safe for this guy.:depressed:

A diver died near the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course’s Floating Green on Lake Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday afternoon.

Golf course employees saw Mike McCullough, of Rexburg, Idaho, floating facedown in the water around 3:55 p.m., said Maj. Ben Wolfinger of the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department. They hauled him out of the water and started CPR but were unable to revive him. He was taken to Kootenai Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

McCullough was a contract worker for the Coeur d’Alene Resort hired to collect golf balls and clean trash off of the lake bottom, Wolfinger said. McCullough was not wearing his diving gear when he was retrieved from the lake.

“We don’t know if he had equipment issues or if there was a medical problem,” Wolfinger said.

Members of the Sheriff Department’s dive team were trying to retrieve McCullough’s gear from the lake in hopes of answering questions about the accident. McCullough was in his mid-20s, police said.

how big is a 50# bag of golfballs?

12 to 15' with a good clean bottom and it was one of those BIG yellow ditty bags very near full. They turned out to be 58 pounds.

Can't post anything yet but it just keeps getting worse.

I wonder how much 58 pounds of golf balls weighs in the water. My camera
system is 23 pounds out of the water, and about a pound and a half in.

Not much but we should test that later. That was just a very minor problem.
