Last year 1 week after getting certified my fiance was found to have cancer. So we were not able to dive and had other things to worry about. Now everything is ok and we want to get back in the water before we go on our honeymoon. So where should we go to get a couple of dives before we go on our cruise in July. Also is there a good place to snorkle in Venice from the beach? Thanks, hope someone can help?

Venice beach would be a good spot for diving and is occasionally good for snorkeling, but, a little further north is siesta key and if you walk to the southern end of siesta key is a great place to snorkle called point of rocks. I usually dive either Sat or SUnday at venice beach 1 hour before high tide and if you would like to join that would be great , just e-mail the weekend yuou plan on diving.

Check out the "Tampa Bay Area Divers" threads. Some of us are diving Venice tomorrow AM.
