I started the trail when my daughter started college eight years ago! Still have 300 miles to finish - but I’ve done PA, NJ and NY at least 10 times. Love Breakneck and almost all of Harriman. People don’t realise how much fantastic hiking we have up here.

I couldn’t agree with you more. When I’m back in the woods and post pictures even locals think I’m away on vacation. It’s kinda sad if you think about it. This area has so much to offer and ppl would rather sit home and watch tv. It’s just like diving here, (I have a small S&R / salvage operation here) I hear all the time GWL. Is undivable You can’t find anything your crazy to dive that lake. Blaaa blaaa ( and not to toot my own horn but I have almost a 100% recovery record) and this even comes from experienced divers. Don’t get me wrong it’s not ideal but it’s what we got close , as long as you get past the algae bloom it’s really not that bad iv been in worse in better places.
