I haven't been stopping in regularly since I still don't have a home phone or internet, but thought I post a touch.

I made it out to the North Wall a few days ago (No Name Wall, I believe the site is called) and was greeted by a Hawksbill turtle right away. This wall looked fabulous, with still abundant soft coral and sea fans. It seems the reach of Hurricane Ivan was limited to shallower depths. We had dinner-plate sized lobsters checking us out and all the usual denizens of the reef. It was my first north dive since I got back in November as my other dives were west.

The Red Sail dive shop is open at Rum Point and Ocean Frontiers is open out in Gun Bay. The restaurants are hurting since the big resorts in East End (Morritt's and Royal Reef) are open and overflowing with guests yet. It makes the island rather quiet and if the wind would just calm down it would make for comfortable un-crowded dive boats. Soon Come.

We saw a 5 ft hammerhead in the sand flats off Prospect Point on Sunday - the wall's got some nice tunnels these though it's not as pristine as the north wall.

I and two of my friends get there on Friday, if the transportation gods are kind! We are doing two days on the boat with DiveTech, and want to shore dive the rest of the time. I've done Eden Rock before, and will be nosing around for other places to go where I can get nitrox fills on-site. Very much looking forward to it! Got a condo at Regal Beach Club. We'll add a few bucks to the restaurant economy too!
