Do you know if the mask festival is still planning on happening in Kokopo in July? Was looking at coming over for it and doing a few days diving with you guys as well. I'm based in Port Moresby so no issue getting there with the international restrictions at present.

Do you know if the mask festival is still planning on happening in Kokopo in July? Was looking at coming over for it and doing a few days diving with you guys as well. I'm based in Port Moresby so no issue getting there with the international restrictions at present.

We are very much hoping that Mask Festival this year goes ahead, but at the moment we have no idea unfortunately . Most people that planned to visit have cancelled their travel completely so seems there might be no tourists at all .

We hope that festival is postponed until later date rather than cancelled, but again at the moment we are all in the dark .

When we know more we will post it to this forum !

If you could post the info that would be great. Sent a few emails to the organisers with no response. There's a lot of expats in POM hanging to get out for a few days once the domestic travel is a little more reliable so hopefully you get a few heading your way.

It have been confirmed by organizers that Mask festival for 2020 have been cancelled

For 2021 Mask Festival dates are 14th-18th July
