Greetings to everyone on the board! It's exciting to have an online community dedicated to the art.

I guess I should probably formally introduce myself...

My name is Chris Harrison, I'm a student at SMU and reside in South Dallas. I'm fairly new to diving with only my OW cert. but I'm currently pursuing my AOW and EANx certs. I'll have those by the end of the semester.

I'm excited about this new sport, and am thoroughly addicted. I'm already planning dives nearly everywhere I travel.

Anyway, I'm glad to be a part of the board

So, Welcome to Scuba Board. Hope you'll put us in your Favorites and check in often.

AOW & EANx training is a good foundation for Scuba, but always keep your mind open to learning.

I'm going thru SMU's advanced scuba program for my AOW. The instructor was having a hard time filling the semester with just the AOW cert. so he tacked on the EANx cert also. He's thinking of also looking into something else like Dry suit or some other technical diving stuff...

I'm flying to South Africa to sing in an opera (small role, nothing big... but free ticket to JoBerg), and I plan on diving with the sharks down there, so I'm trying to get more bottom time under my belt. I'm thinking of trekking down to the Flower Gardens and doing some diving, the water temperature is still pretty warm there... but we'll see what happens. I'm in rehearsal right now for Floyd's "Susannah" and Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" so I don't have a lot of time.

Anywho, keep in touch. We'll see what happens.
