The conference is just around the corner and I wanted to provide you with some additional details about the activities we have planned.
Friday, October 31 at 8PM
Halloween Celebration
Enjoy a southern-style barbeque outdoors on a beautiful fall evening! Live music around a bonfire, along with fun games and a prize-winning costume contest.
Cost: $40 (dinner and transportation are included)
Saturday, November 1 at 7:30PM
Gainesville Night Out
Join us for a delicious meal in an intimate restaurant with contemporary cuisine, followed by a brief award ceremony. After dinner, well venture out to Gainesvilles downtown to enjoy live music and drinks at one of the newest, hottest clubs in town.
Cost: $40 (dinner and transportation included)
Sunday, November 2 at 7PM
EKPP and WKPP Banquet
Take a short stroll up Main Street from Extreme Exposure in High Springs to the Historic Opera House for evening presentations by Dr. Reinhard Buchaly and Casey McKinlay. A banquet dinner will be accompanied by slideshows and video.
Cost: $30 (dinner included)
Monday, November 3 at 8AM
Alachua Aquifer Tour with Dr. Todd Kincaid
Let GUEs Science Director and Vice President enlighten you with his passion for the regions groundwater issues as well as entertain you with the areas most unique ecological features. The tour includes a canoe trip, a stop at a local sinkhole, and a hike in a 21,000-acre preserve. You really dont want to miss this opportunity!
Cost: $35 (includes transportation, box lunch, and canoe rental)
