My buddy and I are interested in joining GUE, and were wondering if there were any GUE divers in the Dallas area?

Have you tried the GUE website? Welcome | Global Underwater Explorers You could also look up the individual instructor.

It looks like California is the closest to you. For me, there is an instructor in Tenn., but he comes up my way once or twice a year.

Just in case the OP is still looking at this...
There are not many GUE divers in Texas but both Gillty, myself, and a couple others are GUE trained and in the Dallas area (Austin in my case, but I don't mind driving).
I've met a few others who are interested in doing fundamentals, and one of your best options could be to fly the instructor in instead of going to FL or CA yourself. If you have 3 people to do the course this is actually cheaper than traveling yourself...

I dive with Jason (Gillty) all the time. Im in western oklahoma but we all seem to meet up pretty often. Headed to High Springs next month.
