Hangin' out at the beach and saw something new

I was just hanging out at the beach with my family just off of Oakland on Saturday and saw a ray swim right up to the shore. I grabbed my mask and jumped in and swam with him just long enough to get a good look at his size, markings, and that tiny tail (he didn't want anything to do with me!) Turned out to be a smooth butterfly ray, very beautiful. That was a new one for me. Sorry, just a little excited.
