Has Anyone Dove St. Johns??

I am planning on doing a liveaboard in December and have been offered this route:

Deep South - St. Johns: Shaab Samadai - Shaab Sharm - Abu Galawa - Dolphin Reef - St. Johns

Has anyone dove this area before and would you recommend it? I am most interested in beautiful reefs as well as marine life! Is it as dangerous as the Brothers islands? Thank you so much!

In the deep south in December the water will be nice warm. There are really nice reefs and with a little luck you can see some sharks. There are few spots where you can expect currents but I think everything will be OK. Choose a reliable company and the local dive guides will lead awesome and safe dives.

Thank you for your replies! I guess what I am most worried about are the currents........I chose to forego Brothers because I was afraid of the currents and now I am reading that the Deep South can be just as dangerous!

I am hoping to book with Egypt Travel, Sightseeing Tours, Nile Cruises, Red Sea Diving, Holidays and they would have me diving off the M/Y Dolphin II

I think at many of the really spectacular dive sites you can expect some current. Anyway, you don't know if you like it until you haven't tried it.
Red Sea is an awesome destination, any route you choose...

Been to Brothers, been to St.John's twice. St.John's is much easier to dive in general, You have a mix of current, drift dives and nice, sheltered dives. Plenty of small fish, sometimes a bigger one, depending on season and Your luck.
No worries about safety - most of St.John's reefs are much easier to do than Brothers .

Thanks - it's very kind of You but ... neither I am a good photographer, nor the camera is any good - regular Canon A610 compact with external strobe . Hope You enjoy Your trip and post some nice report.
By the way - all the liveaboards were with Golden Dolphin. If You are going with them - Golden Dolphin III is the boat You want.
