I've been having the exact problem with my Oxycheq wing and plate. I'm also diving rental yoke, with my Scubapro MK25 swivel facing downward.

The only solution that I can come up with is to loosen the straps and lower the entire thing. I guess I'll have to shorten the crotch strap to compensate.

Just make sure you can still reach your valves.

Hi Mark,
Just read your post, I see that your rig needs to be adjusted. The shoulder straps need to be loosened a bit. Do not turn your 1st stage around and do not ask any "Halcyon" dealer. Just because they sell the stuff does not indicate they have a clue as to what it is and/or how it is to be worn and adjusted properly. As I recall, you have direct access to a GUE instructor to include his phone number. Ask him. He teaches this stuff for a living and actually dives it all the time. :)
The recommendations we give to adjust a harness properly are the "baseline" and usually require a bit of adjustment after you do a few dives with it. Only you can know how it feels and if it is uncomfortable, it needs to be adjusted until it is not uncomfortable and still offers maximum stabilty. And yes, the crotch strap will need to be shortened to accomodate the shoulder adjustment.
