Yeah yeah, it *is* in the Honduras...

"You'll stay at our new Shark Diver Lodge, complete with swimming pool, spa, hot tubs and private beach located at Baan Suerte, Honduras."

Whale sharks on the side.

Hi Richard and welcome to ScubaBoard, very impressive post, looks like you can offer this board a wealth of information.

You can also see whale sharks from Isla Mujeres. There were several guys offering day trips by panga up north of Isla Contoy to swim or dive with them. Some friends of ours went and got some great video but we chickened out when we saw the boat. No seats, life jackets, radio, compass, gps, fresh water or any shade. When we booked the trip he promised us a much nicer boat but when he arrived he told us the nice one had broken down. We have a panga we tow behind the yacht and use for diving. It's much better equipped and even has a little 8hp -just in case- outboard. But we still wouldn't take it 20 miles offshore without the safety gear. Our friends made it back that evening only slightly worse for wear, drunk - they stopped at a beach bar on the way back - and badly sunburned. I can't remember what time of year it was. We were there for a year from April 2003-04 just before we moved down here.

Utila has them in August and September. About Utila
