We are getting some rough weather in Cabarete, Dominican Republic right now from TS Hanna, and it looks like Ike will get us too if the track does not change. No diving today maybe tomorrow. Gimme caves & more caves

Im very new at this i'm actually just going to sign up for my classes soon, but your location caught my attention being that my parents are dominican and i would love to go out there and do some diving someday.

I live on the North Coast near Sosua/ Puerto Plata. We have some good diving here and if you want to learn there are some great places here. Try Northern Coast Aqua Sports in Sosua 1-809-571-1028 they are a 5 star padi. That is were I get all my fills and they are very professional and friendly. You can dive this area pretty much all year as many of the spots are sheltered in a bay from the waves.
