I have been to Frankfurt/Mainz/Wiesbaden many times. I'm kind of partial to Bayern, though (both the South and Franken).
I took German as my first foreign language at school and quickly found out that I had much more fun learning the language while being in Germany than in a manual in Paris... And a lot of fun (and bier) I had indeed
