My name is Travis and starting my journey into the world of diving by becoming certified. My college is actually offering certifications as a class and its counting for credit hours. I have done a few other forms of diving like Snuba and some free diving with snorkeling. I should have my certification by the end of June and I plan on taking full advantage of my certification.

Thanks guys, and yes that's exactly what my girlfriend thinks of diving. The dark side, and yes safety is my main concern with my lack of experience.
