This was in Kona. I had heard someone say one other was sighted in the last couple of weeks. Last year December was a good month, 6-8 sightings, but I wasn't out those days. We seem to see them in the winter off Pawai Bay/Kaiwi Point and up off Sand Chute (where this one was) by the airport.

I think there was a poster on this board or Rodales a couple weeks back who had seen them off (pictures taken too) Molokini on Maui recently. You seemed to have picked the season where seeing them is a possibiility (first one I've seen in 5 years though).
