Someone was discussing bringing a fishing pole underwater and "fishing" while using SCUBA. Is this legal in Florida? I couldn't find any mention of it in the regs. I know quite a few spots that hold big fish but you either can't spear that species or in that location.
On the other hand what if the fish decides to run instead of hiding in the rocks? Do you just equalize like hell and try to keep up? Granted you have line on your reel but if they get too far away your chance of breaking off is the same as if you were on a dock watching line peel away...
