I haven't been on the wreck and without knowing the location and dimension of the object all I can do is hazard a guess that it's part of a winch assembly. It doesn't look like it would have been used to lift loads in and out of a hold so maybe it was used for the anchor?
 
best guess, since I don't have a clue.

Looks like a wagon wheel, maybe not associated with the wreck at all?
 
It does look like a deck winch to me. I'll have to get out there and take a look sometime. Gee, another excuse to go diving.
