I'm teaching a 6 person spearfishing course, mostly for beginners, but it will include freeshaft training. (I've found freeshafting to be the fast track for new spearfishers to get experienced quickly.)

A few of my students already signed up have their own guns, but I will also have several guns available if not, and for students to demo.

The classroom session will be at the Clearwater Mac's Sports store on Tues Nov 5th at 7 pm.

The 3 tank dives will be Nov 8th on my 36' boat. Capt Jose' will be driving for us and also doing some shooting between our dives.

Students will start shooting targets and then quickly move to hogfish. Mangrove snapper will provide plenty of challenges and sometimes even nice gags have been speared during my classes.

More information and contacts are below.

Capt Chad

Thanks Dan. From the seminar at Mac's, I've got Tom Su on board too.

Here's some of my past students with the fish they shot in class...

Is this a regular thing for you Chad. I'm still in VA, but am expected to be stationed in Florida come January. I'd be more than interested in taking your class.

Ditto. I'm not a beginner but still need to learn a lot, but I will be out of town on that date and the money tree in my backyard is just not performing right now anyways... Will there be more of these?
