Looking to ad an optical strobe to my Oly c5060 PT-020 setup. I tried the FL-20 in its own housing and was not happy with the output.

I'm not looking to change housings, so I figure an optical is the way to go. I've found a couple of pkg deals (strobe, flex arm, tray) using either the D-2000 or the YS-110.

So, any opinions or advantages/disadvantages of each?

Thanks.

You might want to look at this article on my blog. There are some comparisons.

(disclaimer; I sell the YS110 in various configurations).

Just a comment on the D-TTL with the YS 110 - a friend of mine has three and has never gotten consistent results when the strobe is in this mode. Hard wired TTL to the cameras hot shoe seems to work OK though. I seem to recall seeing a thread on WP discussing this. The Inon Z 240 seems to offer the best optical TTL at the moment.

Thanks everyone. There more I read, the more I seem to be leaning towards the Z240.
