Inon D2000 strobes white diffuser

Do I really need these? If so do I buy the .5 or the 1.5?

Just in case it matters

Oylmpus XZ1 with pt50 housing and dual D2000 strobes.

You really need them, get the half stop one. Otherwise you will potentially have lots of hot spots in your pics. I never take mine off.
