The four day conference fee is $600 and if you bring your dive buddy and share a room, they pay $500. In addition to the four day conference, access to exhibitors, the ability to dive and see the latest and greatest in technology operating in the field, and the hotel room, the conference fee includes continental breakfast and boxed lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and dinner on Wednesday evening!

The conference agenda will center around the role of public safety diver protecting the homeland and working within a structured incident command system. Speakers from the FBI, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, Long Beach Police, Los Angeles City Port Authority, U.S. Coast Guard Deployable Operations Group-Dive Team will all speak on their roles in homeland security, how they use technology, how they have acquired grants and how they interact with other teams. Two days of in-water dive scenarios are planned so BRING YOUR DIVE GEAR! This is a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best public safety divers in the country!

During the conference, attendees will see how the incident command system is utilized to increase safety and the flow of information. Participants must be active public safety divers, affiliated with a recognized dive team and provide proof of dive certification prior to in-water training. A liability waiver is also required. For those who do not wish to dive or are unable to dive due to injury or disability, there is still plenty to do shoreside! The Divers Alert Network (DAN) is providing certification training In Diver First Aid and Oxygen Administration. They are also providing instructor level classes post conference for $250 that will allow participants to return to their agencies and provide DAN certification programs to dive team members. IADRS staff and Dive Rescue International corporate trainers will also share information on the incident command system and how technology and good training have helped increase safety on their respective dive teams.
