Does anyone have any experience or feedback on Intova's Meganova light?

Thanks for the comments. This light was designed specifically for diving. It is amazingly bright and covers a very wide area with no hot spot so is also great for underwater video. In designing Meganova, we worked with focus groups to develop a product that would have the broadest appeal for diving. The wide angle beam has proven to be more popular overall for diving than the focused beam. Our study showed that focused beam lights are more popular for cave and wreck divers as well as campers and outdoorsmen. The focus beam version of this model, Spotlight, will be out later this year.

Why not make a model that can do Flood/Spot such as:

LIGHT & MOTION || SOLA 1200 DIVE

Beam is too wide for wreck or mediocre visibility?

In mediocre visibility with a beam angle so wide you will see lots of backscatter, think high beams driving in fog.
