Hello All,

I'm looking for recent info on dive operators on Iriomote island for a late October trip. Is Mr. Sakana a good dive op?

I went to Miyako twice the last few years, last time went with a company that did 45 minute dives. I really like Karakara at Miyako but they were booked so went with a company that wasn't as good last year. Hoping for a better experience this time.

We are 2 maybe 3 couples all but one dive, like to do hour plus dives if possible. Least experienced diver in the group has 200 dives. We have one snorkeler and all plan on kayaking and stand up boarding as well.

I'm the only one in the group that speaks Japanese. Can only read hiragana so am considered illiterate.

Most Japanese operators cap boat dives at 45 minutes. There doesn't seem to be that many operators on Iriomote. Personally, I'd go with a long-term operator such as ＧＯＯＤＤＩＶＥ　西表島のダイビングサービス。体験ダイビング・ファンダイビング、少人数制の個人店 (21 years in business) and posts regularly to their website. Of course, you have lots of time before now and October to do research.
