This was part of a big grab bag of gear I just acquired. It looks like it takes 2 26650 batteries which are quite expensive on Amazon. Anyone know how well this light performs, or is it better to save my money on a new light? Only markings I see are 08-3600 on tailcap. Magnetic switch single LED bulb.
Thanks in advance

That looks extremely similar to my Tovatec Ultra III which uses a cartridge/ holder/ insert that holds 6 AA batteries and is probably about the same dimensions as two 26650's in series. Possibly.

Sometimes I use a 18650 in a holder in place of a 26650. Cheap if you just want to use the light and don’t need the runtime. Short piece of (1/2?) PVC makes a decent adapter. Stole the idea from an old thread here.

I had 2 of the intova lights at one time I used for backup lights and I was happy with them. If the light was free, I would buy the batteries and keep the light.
