It looks as though this southern system is going to interrupt good diving conditions along the East Coast until we begin feeling the effects of Isabel. Can anybody provide some insight on how long Isabel could keep us from shore diving once it "hits" the coast? Weeks?

FYI, the report from Hibiscus as of an hour ago is a little less than a knot north current at the bottom 700 yards out with a bit of a surge on top of that... tough! Surf is building. Visibility is low, about 20' max; looks something like a snow storm with all the stuff in the water... did they open the storm gates again to get ready for some rain?

I think I'll dry my gear for a couple of days and by then it will probably be a while depending on what Isabel decides to do.
