After months of struggling with valve drills I finally nailed them like I had been doing them for years. All it took was to finally get a propperly fitting dry suit and a couple stretching maneuvers getting into the water. What a load off my mind, I have my fundies coming up soon and was in a panic. Its amazing what you can do with the right gear.
 
Sounds like the gear was only part of it.
