I'm a Fish!
I thought that people might be interested in dive condition reports from our dives on the Izu penninsula.

To get it started, here's a brief report:

Location: Atami
Dive Site: Bitagane
Weather Conditions: Hazy sunshine (bright)
Air Temperature: 30 degrees
Water Temperature: 22 degrees at depth (18 meters)
Visibility 5-8 meters

I heard from the others who dove the Wreck (Chinsen) in the morning that vis was 20 meters. Probably Sodaine would have had better visibility than Bitagane.

Next week: Atami

Yes wasn't it nice! We dove Sodaine on Saturday and had great visibility. At least 15 meters. At depth 16-17 degrees.

Thanks, Thomas, for the Sodaine info. What was your max. depth?

I will pm you ;-)

For the benefit of the other readers of the thread, the temperature at recreational depths for the sites in Atami was about 19-20 degrees C.
