The Safe Harbor Boys Home donated their tugboat the USCGC Spike (WLIC 75308) to be turned into an artificial reef. The plan is to sink her July 6th!

It looks like the sinking is being pushed back to the 11th or 12th. Cleanup efforts are ongoing, the Jacksonville Reef Research Team is doing predeployment surveys for two possible sites.
 
Damn. I was hoping to go see it sink. Can't make the 11 or 12, as I have a guy on vacation then, so can't skip out.
