possibly a naive question - but under the premise that - there are no dumb questions ....
whats the state of diving now in and around Japan with all the nuclear mishaps still pending ?
i imagine there are some areas that would be considered 'no -dive' locations is it the case for the entire island ?
or are there locations that are still safe and the marine life is worth making a trip for ?
does anyone have any first hand information ?

thanks
marc

Keep in mind that there is not just one island in Japan. My guess is that the southern islands are fine given prevailing current directions

The southern islands of Okinawa and most of the northern islands are just fine. There is a limited area around Fukushima itself that is a no go area but they are still diving in Izu, Kyushu and of course Okinawa, Amami, Yonaguni and just about everywhere.
