Japanese national dies diving in Qld - 9news.com.au
A Japanese woman has died scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
The 32-year-old was found unconscious in waters near Saxon Reef off Port Douglas on Tuesday morning, police say.
Paramedics tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead just over an hour after they arrived.

The diver reportedly had been travelling with the Tusa Dive snorkelling and diving company.
They declined to comment.
Workplace Health and Safety inspectors from the Office of Fair and Safe Work will investigate the incident.
The Japanese national's death follows two other tourist fatalities on the Great Barrier Reef this year.
One, a 68-year-old Chinese tourist, died while snorkelling off Cairns in mid-February.
A 23-year-old English woman doing an introductory dive off Hayman Island in the Whitsundays followed days later.
