Totally last minute, but I have no plans next week and want to get away for some diving in the Caribbean. Top of the list currently is Turks (Providenciales), because I know the island and they have casinos and a golf course if I want to take a day off. Those aren't required but they are preferred. Looking for other suggestions. Thanks!

Go further south to escape the hurricanes. Suggest Bonaire or Curacao. There are more non diving activities on Curacao.

Golf anywhere in the Caribbean in the summer is a challenge because of the heat.

Whether or not you weather the Caribbean Storm season:

Roatan has a golf course. The Black Pearl (very original). Only god knows why, but there you go. The reef condition downhill from any/all Caribbean golf courses are a predictor of the near future for any island.

They also have a ‘casino’ ish thingy, so you can discover how much better the odds are in Vegas…same-same anywhere in the Caribbean. I have never seen a ‘nice’ casino much less world class casino in the Mar Caribe. Money sucking dumps that cater to gambling addicted cruise shippers that simply can not stop while ship casino is closed while in port. Most island casinos are closed on non-port days. Forget the 007 portrayals.

July? Come to dive. Margaitte, Los Roques, ABC, Corn, Bay Isalnds. Stay “low”, stay South.
