Son and I have rescheduled, June 15-22. Our tentative dive schedule at Blue Angel:
June 16, 2013. 8:00 am 2-tank boat dive for 2
June 17, 2013. 8:00 am 2-tank boat dive for 2
June 18, 2013. 8:00 am 2-tank boat dive for 2
On June 18, 2013. they would like to set a twilight a night dive $10.00 USD plus taxes extra per person if using the dive from the package for teh twilight dive, Dive shop, please offer the trip to get the 3rd spot.
June 19, 2013. Night dive on shore.
June 20, 2013. 1:00 pm 2-tank boat dive for 2.

If anyone wants to join us for a 2 tank Twilight/night boat dive on the 18th, Tuesday night, at Blue Angel, we need at least one more diver. $79 pp, our skill level is NEW Advanced, son is 13 Junior Advanced. We are new to night diving and I'd prefer we
stay on an easy dive, maybe 50-60 ft in area with least/little expected currents.

Sorry, that means I have to un-blue you! But that's OK, as a consolation prize I'm bluing myself an extra day ahead for all my hard work here.

Currently packing, not going so well. I thought I could fit all my dive gear and clothes into my regular suitcase, but I'm running short of space due to my hotel's requirement for long pants at dinner and the fact I'm diving for 7 days. 7 T-shirts for dive days (those get stinky and aren't reusable), 2 pairs of long pants (since I'll inevitable spill food on one), lots of button-down shirts for afternoon/evenings, and real shoes, plus bathing suits, toiletries, bug juice, non-eco sunscreen, etc. It just can't be done. So a third bag is inevitable, probably a little duffel that I can balance on top of the rolling suitcase. Now if only I remembered what I did with that duffel

Unlike with all the people talking about illegally importing Sudafed in the seasick thread, non-eco sunscreen is completely legal to bring to Cozumel. It's also completely legal to use outside of marine park boundaries. Surely you'd don't think I'd use the non-eco stuff inside the marine park

My flight cost me $83.01, plus a few air miles. I can bring 3 70-lb bags at no extra charge, but that doesn't make them any easier to lug around the airport and hotels. Unfortunately, the camera case with housing, ports, and other goodies inside comes to 65 lbs alone. I could overstuff my suitcase, which unzips to expand, but I think a third small bag is the ticket. Carry-on is always an option as well, but I prefer to travel light

Fortunately, while I can't find the duffel I was thinking of, I found another one in the depths of a closet. Now I have to get myself in a packing mood again. I really hate packing!

Today is our last day of diving. We went with Deep Blue again. I dove the Cathedral for the first time yesterday! The diving has been great. We saw 8 octopus, 1 squid, and more lobster and crab than I could count. We enjoyed a late dinner at Kondesa. I love this place!
