I am soon to be going on a discover scuba dive however the only question i hvae is, does the air your breath taste any diffrent to normal air?

Thanks for your time
Michael

If the air from the tank smells or tastes at all, don't use it!

There should be NO odor or taste from your tank. If you detect something, tell the instructor/dive master immediately.

The only thing you will find is it is dry. Bring a bottle of water and perhaps some lip balm :)
Have a ball!

as red said....dry!!!!!!!
same air,but filtered a zillion times
and dried
no smell-no taste
if there is-somethings wrong
enjoy getting going!!!!!
youl love it!
have fun
yaeg

So is it just pure atmospheric air or mixed gas with oxygen ?

Yes.... on both accounts :). It's normal air, with is approx 21% oxygen mixed with other gases, mostly nitrogen :)

As stated, all it is is super filtered, super dry and super compressed into a cylinder :)

Be careful what you eat before a dive or you will taste it the whole dive.

No burritos.

The most I ever taste is rubber. Like the others said: if you taste anything funny, let someone know and do not take it underwater.
