Hi all.
Here in Guadeloupe (French Caribbean) on a vacation, decided to try diving. Did a "baptême plongée," literally a baptismal dive (no religion involved!) It was a fantastic experience. I initially had some panic, because in its natural state, the human body isn't meant to breathe underwater, so I felt my airway shut down. Luckily the diving instructor was very patient with me and we got through that bit of anxiety.
The only issue I had from that point on, was that the mask wasn't fitted properly to my face, so water kept coming into my eyes. But other than that, it was a marvelous experience. I loved the experience of seeing underwater.
And the entire team at TropicalSub in Deshaies was amazing. No, not an advertisement for them, I have no relation to them. I'm just amazed by the whole new world they allowed me to discover.

I plan on coming back here to continue my education. It was an exceptional experience!

howdy and welcome from southeast florida USA....I'm glad you came back alive after breathing underwater......enjoy the underwater world.
