Hey all,

I'm a solo traveler and interested in doing a last minute dive trip to Key Largo over 4th of july weekend next week.

Is anyone headed there and interested in splitting costs on accommodations? (open to hotel/airbnb/etc)

If you're only going as far as key largo it's probably cheaper to stay in florida city and then drive over in the morning.

That said I like camping in the keys personally, and would be down to split a campsite in key largo or Islamorada and do two days of charters.

Interesting option - where do you usually camp at?
I'm a fairly beginner diver and was considering going with rainbow reef since they have guides included.

At Calusa Campgrounds or John Pennekamp State Park. I have never dove with rainbow reef butt I've heard good reviews about them. I do most of my diving in the keys through Horizon, but would be open to doing rainbow, a guided dive is a pleasure I don't often indulge in.

I looked into that. At least in off-season it was cheaper to stay at Key West Inn booked thru Rainbow Reef than to stay in Homestead because of the "Resort Fee" that Super 8 tacked on.
