Just came back from the Keys. Both Largo and Key West. The diving can be good in both. Key West is a fun place. The Vandie is a good dive. The nice thing about diving during Fantasy Fest is that most people aren't diving so there is plenty of room on the boats. I went with Peter at Bonsai Diving, small operation with great customer service.

ummmm, used the search function for Key_West, found 2 threads. Thanks for your info
Not sure why "key_west" would find anything. The search feature on this board doesn't work for 3 character words - try searching for "key* west"

My experience in KW is that the reefs are a tad beat..sure there ARE some nice spots, but if you travel up the road a bit to Big Pine, you can hit some MUCH nicer reefs!

The Vandy is an awesome dive, if you are into wrecks and the depth...but I can't remember any reefs down that far that are nicer than Looe Key reef!

Good luck, have a great time!
